Electric heating control

The PTD-100 sensor is specially designed to improve data transfer from the sensor sensor to the electronic controller. The sensor design makes it possible not to use additional spark barriers when the sensor itself is located in an explosive zone, and the controller is installed in a non-explosive zone. The sensor can be connected to junction boxes marked with explosion protection EExe or EExd and is used together with controllers such as TS-014, TC8165 or other types of electronic controllers.

Accuracy of measurements:

  1. The grounded stainless steel outer shell prevents the spread of electromagnetic radiation, which affects the accuracy of the sensor reading.
  2. Protected construction: Each PT-100 sensor has an outer shell, made of stainless steel, so that the sensor cannot be damaged by the sharp edges of the metal thermal insulation casing

Approved for use in hazardous areas:

The PTD-100 sensor is suitable for use in explosive zones without spark-proof barriers. The sensor can be connected to junction boxes marked with explosion protection EEx e or EEx d. The latter should have a volume less than 100 cm3.

Notes

  1. Longer sensors are available on demand. The maximum length is 3 m. For more information, please contact the COLORTERM company.
  2. The measuring tip of the sensor with a length of 15 mm should not be bent.
  3. Single-core or multi-core conductor.

The maximum length of the signal cable is calculated at an ambient temperature of 40 °C. The maximum resistance of the circuit from the controller to the sensor and back is 30 ohms, including 1 ohm - the contact resistance at the terminals.
